SUBTEXT returns to The Archive @ Novel on Saturday, February 28 for iteration 007, featuring residents cybergiga and kttnmttns, alongside special guest Anomali.
Anomali returns to the SUBTEXT orbit following a memorable appearance on sister series Vibe Check in November, tapping into a mythical, spectral vein of the techno ecosphere. Their fluidly relentless selections draw dancers into a meditative, subtly evolving flow state, attentive to how sound sits in the body and how energy accumulates over time.
Residents cybergiga and kttnmttns contribute DJ sets in the now-established SUBTEXT style: genre-agnostic, amorphous club constructions that privilege texture, pressure, and flow.
As always, SUBTEXT leans toward hypnotic grooves, textured rhythms, and an ear for the unexpected over big drops or fixed genre lines. Expect music that unfolds gradually, shaped by the room and the biodynamic feedback loop between sound system and body.
