About the event
Leigh Kellis started something sweet ‘from scratch.’ In 2011 she had to ‘get a life,’ as she was told. Freshly out of divorce, in need of a new direction and some heart healing, she started making donuts in her kitchen on Munjoy Hill (four at a time in a pot on stove with an erratic thermometer). She wanted to give herself sweetness, deep fried indulgence, and a little hope. She now co-owns five shops and the Holy Donut just introduced National shipping so her donuts can go to every household in America. Come hear the bumpy path to sweet success as she talks about her book ‘Women Who Need Donuts,’ which covers the divorce, the death of her dad (her business partner) and diet confusion (“am I allowed to eat donuts?”) This book tells us all- YES To purchase Leigh's book, click here: https://www.amazon.com/Women-Who-Need-Donuts-Honoring/dp/1504397886
