ENM Maine
A safe space for those interested in ethical nonmonogamy

Monthly Color Theme: [COLOR]
What is ENM Maine?
We're folx in and around Portland, ME who believe in creating safe and fun events for adults in the local community. We endeavor to create safe spaces to learn and grow and get to know other people who are ethically nonmonogamous. All folx embracing, curious about, and/or supportive of ethical nonmonogamy are welcome. Feel free to stop by and make a new friend!
What is Ethical Nonmonogamy?
Nonmonogamy is an umbrella term that other people embrace in many unique ways. We define ethical nonmonogamy (ENM for short) as the practice of having multiple romantic, sexual, and/or otherwise established relationships with the full consent and knowledge of all parties involved. We embrace many different ENM relationship dynamics, and celebrate their unique nature.
A Note for the Kinky
The kink community and the ENM community can sometimes overlap. We welcome all who are kinky as well! But please note this is a "vanilla" event, meaning the event is focused primarily on community building, friendship, and connection, rather than kink exploration. Stickers may be provided for those who are open to more "spicy" conversations, but always be respectful.
About the Venue
We are currently meeting at Novel, located at 643 Congress St, Portland, ME 04101. Novel is a coffee & cocktails bar offering a large selection of books, as well as board games. See their website for more details, including their menu: https://www.novelmaine.com/
We provide name tags and fun stickers that serve as icebreakers and encourage conversation. Our monthly color theme is not mandatory but it’s a fun way to signal that you are a part of our group, since our events are held at public venues. We also have 1-2 hosts who are always happy to answer questions and help newbies navigate our events.
Important Venue Notes
Seating will likely be limited. As such, this event is limited to 30 people in total. Because of this capacity, only those who RSVP at least 24 hours beforehand will be guaranteed a spot.
It may be crowded and get a little noisy, especially if there's another event happening.
Other events may overlap with ours. Check the venue's event schedule for more details. Note that we are a "club" and not an event on their event schedule.
Parking can be a challenge. Be prepared to traverse a couple of blocks to find a pay lot.
The venue serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, as well as some small bites. Check their menu for more details.
There is no smoking or vaping of any kind permitted inside the venue.
